I think she makes a good point about the purpose of school and how it teaches you to overcome challenges. School is probably a healthier way to learn how to deal with the hardships of life than doing so out on the streets and the best way to learn how to deal with life is through trying in school. It's definitely something to think about. I guess parts of the blog post really apply to me because at times my motivation to do things is extremely low and I'll tend to be really apathetic about anything I don't really care about.

This weekend I didn't do that much actually, I spent a lot of it getting stuff ready for our Winter Park trip which starts Wednesday night. That was pretty boring and involved going to a lot of stores, we also spent two days searching stores for a decent pair of size 14 shoes which was quite difficult and time consuming.

If the image is on a stock image site like ShutterStock then yes but some professional photographs are the intellectual property of their owners and should be paid for.

Resume Website Reflection

This website was actually quite frustrating to me because I realized that I haven't really done a lot of stuff that I could put down on a resume which has actually made me think about the future more than I would have otherwise. So even though I didn't do that great on the website it has actually ended up meaning something bigger to me and will hopefully inspire me to change how I do things and get involved in more activities so that in the future I have more to talk about. It has also taught me to better manage my time because even though the information wouldn't have gotten much better, I could have at least presented my content in a better quality than I did, instead of the website looking very simple. In the future I hope to be less distracted and get more done on future websites and life.

Becoming friends with Jeremy is by far the most valuable thing I've learned how to do, it will definitely last a lifetime and will help enrich my future.

What is a resume website? What do people put on resume websites. Spend about 5-10 minutes looking up resume websites and what they are used for. Explain what you find. Include an image of a resume website if possible.

A resume website is a website that you use to tell about your accomplishments and can be used for things such as job applications. You put information such as significant life achievements and information about yourself that will look impressive to people that view it to help assist you in landing a job or getting accepted into something.

What are you doing for Spring Break?
Gonna chill out and watch some basketball, hopefully win some money for my bracket this year cuz I'm bringing out all the killer stats for this years tournament. We might go see some family up in Iowa too so that'll probably be pretty fun.

I admire the great Arjun Prakash because he alone can lead us to greatness. He is a true first rate guy who always knows how to get the job done. Traits like those are present only in true leaders which is why he is obviously such a huge influence on my life. Completely true story.

This weekend was pretty boring actually I had to pretend I was really busy with stuff so I didn't have to do some other stuff so the weekend was just very meh, that's pretty much all that happened.

I had a pretty solid 4 day weekend since I got to miss Thursday and Friday for State. There was a lot of goofing around in a hotel room which was quality and then grinding through rehearsals that could have been shorter, overall it was a pretty good time with the dweebs I got to spend some quality time with like the two below.

Well this weekend I tried to pretend it was another 4 day weekend but it turns out it was not so that was very sad and depressing. Other than that not much happened but this weekend will be pretty fun so at least there's that.

Color can convey a lot of emotion when it comes to designing anything from a product to a website to an advertisement to a logo and so much more. What do you think the importance of colors on a website are? What is a color scheme and why is it important to have when designing? Explain any thoughts you might have around color in design.

Honestly for me colors can kind of set a mood but I usually don't pay a lot of attention to them unless they are ridiculous which might cause me to take the website less seriously. Colors are probably important for some people and affect how they view a website but for me I'll usually focus more on the actual content.

Think about the quote above. What does this mean to you? How could this apply to your life? How could this apply to your school work (especially Web Design!)?  I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?

This means that to focus on somethings enough to do exceptionally well in them, you must do less things in general to center your focus on what you want to do well in. So by sacrificing less important things in your life, you are more likely to be excellent at the things that are most important to you because you will have more time to do only that. This can definitely apply in my life by cutting out things that I don't really need to do to learn or figure out new information or concepts that are new and confusing or can be used to build certain skills by making sure you always have time to practice them. It also improves the quality of the work you are putting in to something because even if you do less work, the work is of a higher quality if it is done deliberately. I think that this system could work in this class if I made sure to stay on task and not take advantage of more potential free time to mess around, it might be worth a try.

What's the coolest thing you've learned in this class so far this year? Now that you have a little knowledge, what do you want to learn that you don't know how to do yet?
I would say that learning how to code in general has been pretty cool because that was not something that I was really familiar with before and now that I am its actually pretty cool.

This weekend I decided to indulge myself in some sleep because I have not gotten very much of that lately it and that was quite enjoyable, I also watched the Super Bowl even though the end wasn't very pleasant. Below is a picture of the emptiness in my head while I slept.

What is a website wireframe? Explain. If you don't know what it is, look it up. Find an image online to place on your blog that represents a website wireframe and how they work.

A website wireframe is a schematic or blue print for how a website is made. It is useful because it gives people a general idea of what their website will look like and will help them plan for when they actually build it. Tools like this help make websites easier to make and look polished because they were planned in advance.

Tell me about your weekend. Go.

This weekend I filled in for someone who couldn't do pit orchestra so I sat in a small box sight reading music for 7 hours, it wasn't terrible but I felt like a whole day just kind of disappeared. The only pictured I took were on my killer snapchat story so I can't post them here which is really too bad because there was a lot to see in that little box. Then on sunday I crammed homework all day which sucked and that was about it.

The problem with kids these days would probably be the general attitude that they present and how they act. Everyone seems to think they are pretty great and that they should share that with as many people as they possibly can regardless of if anyone cares. They also are on their phones all the time which usually tends to get them in even more trouble even if it keeps them quiet.

The most frustrating part of this class is probably just keeping all the stuff I've learned in my head where I can remember it because when I start trying to code a lot of the stuff just jumbles together and makes a real mess in my head but I'm hoping that it will clear out a bit.

Well here at Blue Valley I just kind of chill out and do stuff. I'll try in most of my classes but I tend to get pretty bored or my attention span could get the better of me. I don't get as involved as a lot of people but I do enjoy band and the extra-curricular parts of that. My favorite class this year was probably Health which is already finished but there was a lot of funny stuff and fun people in that class. I'm really looking forward to the trip we're taking to Colorado for band later this year and it'll probably be a good time, other than that there isn't much I'm looking forward too because I just don't feel interested in much right now.

What are your thoughts on this class so far? Easy? Hard? Informative? Frustrating? What have you learned so far? What do you want to learn? Explain yourself.

So far this class has been fairly informative, I haven't found it too hard yet. I don't really know much about coding so seeing how it works has been an interesting experience for me. Hopefully I catch on quickly enough that I don't fall behind because at that point things might start to feel a little frustrating but as of right now things are just pretty informative which is pretty good. So far the biggest thing I've learned is that Google accounts aren't that painful to use once I've set them up.

Well this weekend I had state auditions and those were pretty fun but I had to wake up really early which wasn't the best. I could have had a better playing day too but at least I got to hang out and see a lot of old friends which was pretty nice. Then Sunday kind of sucked because nothing really happened but I was pretty tired from the day before anyways.

I think that the judge has a valid point however he can't expect everybody to be interested in such activities especially in today's day and age. There should still be decent recreational activities available to keep less inclined people from doing something stupid. I don't personally care that much since I usually have stuff to do but telling teens to read a book won't solve a lot of your problems, his words about taking responsibility for yourself isn't bad advice but will be ignored by many.
